In 1896, the founder of the Satake Corporation, Riichi Satake, invented and began the production of Japan’s first power driven rice milling machine.

In the subsequent one hundred years, a succession of successful developments and a wealth of accumulated research and knowledge have made Satake the world leader in grain processing systems. Satake produces a comprehensive range of individual machines, integrated systems and totally engineered solutions for the processing of rice, wheat and other grains.

Satake USA provides sales and service to the Americas, from Canada to Argentina.

Our Vision Systems (optical sorting machines) operation is represented by our Houston, Texas corporate office and by divisions located in Modesto, California and Manchester, England. From these various locations, shipments of optical sorting products are made and sent to all parts of the world.

Satake USA also provides engineering and design consulting services used by the rice processing and cereal milling customers.

Noriyuki “Nori” Moriyama, joined Satake USA Inc. as President, and CEO in June 2023. Nori’s technical background and international business experience makes him well suited for a leadership role at Satake. At a time when business challenges due to supply chain issues and the increasing demands of food quality and safety by our customers, Satake greatly benefits from Nori’s guidance.
